Welcome to first grade!  This will be an exciting year filled with learning about the following topics:


Reading Literature

* Identify parts of a story - characters, setting, and plot

* Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words

* Participate in collaborative conversations while asking and answering questions
